The Admiral’s Mansion

admirals mansion

The Admiral’s Mansion, one of the thirteen white Colonial Revival mansions which once lined Officers Row, is a wonderful location for your wedding reception or business retreat.

Quarters ‘A’ was once the home of the highest ranking Officer on Mare Island.

Experience the opulence of a mansion of the Victorian era that features an abundance of exquisite details on the main floor: stained glass windows illuminating elegant stairs flanked by hand-turned balustrades; oak floors shining in rich hues; dentine woodwork moldings adorning high ceilings that ease the flow of cool air during the hot summers; beveled glass set in lead front the cabinets in the dining room; fire places to warm the rooms on chilly evenings; sturdy tables supported by intricately carved wood bases topped with silky marble or lush brocade coverings; echoes of  a gentility not often found  in modern houses.

This was the home of a man who controlled the civilian world equivalent of a multi-billion dollar business!

Enjoy a “360º Tour” of the timeless interior of the Admiral’s Mansion.
