Mare Island is a perfect location for weddings, reunions, company parties or other festive occasions.
Four landmark buildings are available for special events. They are located in the island’s quaint historic district, which dates back to the mid 1800s. You will feel like you have an entire small town all to yourself.
The Chapel, the Admiral’s Mansion and Captain’s Mansion are available for receptions, class reunions, company parties, meetings and fundraisers. Both mansions have beautiful back yards for spring and summer parties. Mare Island Museum is also available for parties, fund raisers and offers seating for up to 250 guests.
Pricing and Reservations
The Mansions: The Admiral’s mansion and Captain’s mansion are available for weddings, receptions, vow renewals, etc. The cost for these events is $1200 for 7 hours for the Admiral’s Mansion; and $850 for 7 hours for use of the Captain’s Mansion. A wedding and reception combined, at either mansion would be an additional $200. For shorter time periods, there is a 3 hour minimum for events at a cost of $175 per hour .Admiral’s Mansion Event Capacity: 100-120 maximum, seated at tables (downstairs); Captain’s Mansion Event Capacity: 60-70 seated at tables (downstairs).
